A Study on the Grey System Application to Business Performance Correlation-a Case of Domestic Bank A

並列摘要

This paper used the business performances in domestic bank A as research object. The business statistics and performances assessment results of the bank were collected from January 1st to December 31st, 2015. The analysis factors include 7 performance items, which are business assessment, performance management, employee contribution, earnings achievement rate, earnings growth rate, return on risk assets and credit risk in 27 branches in a recent year. First, the method of GM(0,N) was used to analyze the weighting of the factors. The results showed that the earnings achievement rate, and earnings growth rate ranked the top two, respectively. This also showed that these two factors contributed most to the operating performance, followed by credit risk, employee contribution, performance management, return on risk assets and business assessment. Next, the grey relational grade was used to analyze each branch’s ranking of performances, and the outstanding units are A13, A26, A8 and A27. The underperforming units are A22, A11, A1, A10 and A9. The rest are moderate units. The results are quite consistent with the current banking practice evaluation. Because the most important factor is earnings achievement rate, the bank wants to reach better performances, it has to focus on earnings achievement rate factor.
