Application of graphic design is to draw the attention of viewers. The most applied one is ambiguous figure of optical illusion. It gives viewers a novel and special feeling and successfully attracts them. This study explores application of ambiguous figure of optical illusion in graphic design. We review literatures and conduct theoretical analysis to explicit formation of optical illusion and vision and theories and works of ambiguous figure. We hope that the results can provide useful reference for related research or applications. Finally, we explicit: 1.Relation between formation of visual and graphic design; 2.Expressions of ambiguous figure; 3.The value and potential of application of ambiguous figure.
