林智信木刻版畫中的「本土意象」初探

台灣社會受到多次大規模移民潮影響，集結各民族的資源，產生豐富多元的文化，由於特殊的歷史背景及文化的變遷，使各種藝術能夠多元呈現，包括木刻版畫也有獨特的發展。基於個人對於本土的熱愛與興趣，探討木刻版畫中的「本土意象」，希望台灣的本土文化可以藉由文獻的整理得以延續與傳承。台灣本土版畫家林智信的木刻版畫作品，呈現的鄉土意識非常濃厚，深具民間特色；他不斷以「台灣鄉土」做為創作題材，大量呈現台灣的風土民情，屢獲國內外獎項，並受邀於世界各國展出，對台灣文化的貢獻功不可沒；耗盡二十年光陰才完成的「迎媽祖」巨幅版畫作品，成為世界最長的一幅版畫，並且揚名國際；因此，本文選定林智信的木刻版畫作品為研究題材。本研究採用質性研究，以文獻分析法進行探討，目的在瞭解台灣現代木刻版畫有關「本土意象」之內容與形式的發展。並對林智信的台灣本土意象版畫風格與主題加以歸納及分類，再從歸納出的主題及特色，尋求台灣本土意象創作的脈絡，希望可以提供教學或研究創作「台灣本土意象」取材時之參考。根據本研究發現：林智信創作的意象、內涵與特質，充滿台灣人苦幹、蠻幹的牛勁，數量多且大，作品表現台灣本土情懷，展現本土意象，為台灣留下美麗的圖像，作品兼具藝術性與文化價值。

Due to several times of emigration in the history of Taiwan; different cultures in Taiwan were combined and transformed into unique culture with various kinds of aspect. Wood cut prints are also with unique development under the special background and changes of various culture. Base on personal interesting and devotion to local art; hoping Taiwan culture can be continued and become tradition by studying the ”Local image” in wood cut prints.Lin Chih-Hsin's wood cut prints present strong emotion to local country. He chooses Taiwan country as his topic of creation. Taiwan image are most often present in his wood cut works.Awards and invitations from different countries contribute Taiwan culture plenty. ”Celebrating of Matsu Festival” is one of the longest wood cut prints in the world and it took 20 years to finish. That's why the study topic focus on Lin Chih-Hsin's Wood cut prints.The study is trying to understand the content and form of Local Image in Taiwan modern wood cut prints. Also to assort and generalize local image style and topic in Lin Chih-Hsin's wood cut prints. Through the conclusion of study is providing some reference for teaching and creating on the local images topic.Lin Chih Hsin's work shows to people the strong power inside Taiwan people spirit. The works quantity is huge and present to people the beauty of Taiwan. His wood cut prints with artistry and academic value. Herewith suggest conserving any article and creation related with art work in good condition is very important to the new generation to know Taiwan Local culture.
