單人動作遊戲之創作元素分析

Creative Element Analysis of Single Player Action Game

摘要


電玩遊戲是由眾多遊戲要項集合而成的,只有釐清各種要項在玩家心中的重視程度,才能使遊戲的開發資源聚焦在關鍵項目上。眾多要項中,以「創作元素」與玩家的重視程度關係最為複雜,這類研究在電玩遊戲設計中較少被討論。本研究透過專家訪談,以《超級瑪莉兄弟》、《高橋名人冒險島》、《魔界村》三款經典單人動作遊戲為主要研究對象,以瞭解這些成功的經典遊戲的背後的成功關鍵要素,以做為後續遊戲開發時的借鏡與參考。研究方法以專家焦點團體法為主,針對台灣業界的電玩遊戲設計師進行專家訪談,並將訪談結果形成問卷調查之題目。電玩遊戲設計師將單人動作遊戲的創作元素歸類成4個類別。分別為「人物」「物品」「建築」「聲音」,每一類別又細分為不同的子項目。在人物創作元素可細分為:主角、敵人、戰友、路人。在物品創作元素中可細分為:寶物、武器、錢幣、鑰匙。在建築創作元素中可細分為:機關、障礙、地標、輔助建築、轉換點。在聲音創作元素中可細分為:音樂、音效、人物語言。後續以問卷調查法,進行創作元素重視程度的排序調查。結果顯示,玩家在創作元素的重視排序上為:「人物」最為首要,「物品」次之,「建築」第三,「聲音」為最後。性別因素並且對於創作元素的重視程度排序會造成差異。這些研究成果,可作為電玩遊戲設計師在設計電玩時的參考依據。

Video game is a combination of numerous games' essential elements. To focus the development resources of games on the key factors, the importance of every essential element in player's mind must be distinguished. Among numerous essential elements, the relationship between ”creative element” and the importance in player's mind is the most complicated; however, this kind of study is rarely discussed in the design of video game. This study carried out expert interview, and regarded the three classic single player action games, ”Super Mario Brothers”, ”Takahashi Meijin no Bouken”, and ”Ghosts and Goblins”, as the main study objects to understand the successful and key factors of these classical games. In addition, this finding could provide reference for the development of games in the future. Literature review and expert focus group were the main study methods, and expert interviews were carried out with the video game designers from Taiwan, and then the interview result was used to design the items of questionnaire investigation. Video game designers categorized the creative elements of single player action game into four categories, including ”character”, ”article”, ”building”, and ”sound”; and then, each category was subdivided into different sub-items. Character-creative-element was subdivided into leading character, enemy, fighting brother, and passerby; article-creative-element was subdivided into treasure, weapon, coin, and key; building-creative-element was subdivided into trap, obstacle, landmark, auxiliary building, and change point; and sound-creative-element was subdivided into music, sound effect, and character language.Next, questionnaire investigation was carried out. The result showed that the importance ranking of creative elements were ”character”, ”article”, ”Building”, and ”sound”, in descending order. Gender factor would cause difference to the importance ranking of creative element. These study results could provide reference for video game designers when designing video games.
