進口商用木地板材抗台灣家白蟻之研究
The Characteristics of the Imported Commercial Wood Flooring Against the Formosan Termite (Coptotermes formosanus Shiraki)
摘要
本研究係針對國內12種進口重要商用木地板材進行抗白蟻試驗，藉以評估其抗白蟻的效果。由土壤木塊餵食試驗結果顯示，香脂木豆（Myroxylon balsamum）、澳洲柏木（Callitris glauca）、櫻桃木（Prunus serotina）及柚木（Tectona grandis）等地板材具有優良之抗白蟻性。選取抗白蟻性能佳之地板材進行白蟻精油死亡試驗結果顯示：濃度0.5 mg/ml之澳洲柏木精油於試驗之第1天死亡率即可達100%，而相同濃度之香脂木豆精油於第4天後亦可達到100%的死亡率。研究結果證實，澳洲柏木及香脂木豆木材與其萃取物皆具有較優良之抗白蟻性，將可提供於居家裝潢材料之選用及白蟻防治劑研發之應用。

In this study, anti-termite test on 12 types of the major commercial imported wood flooring material was carried out to evaluate the effect of anti-termite capability. The results of wood feeding test show that Balsamo (Myroxylon balsamum), Australian cypress (Callitris glauca), Cherry (Prunus serotina) and Teak (Tectona grandis) hold the superior anti-termite capability. The lethal tests on termites by essential oils from selected anti-termite wood feeding show that 100% of mortality rate can be found after 1 day with 0.5 mg/mL of Australian crpress essential oil, while the same finding were reached after 4 days with the same concentration of Balsamo essential oil. According to the results, the wood of Australian cypress, Balsamo, and their extracts show more excellence of anti-termite capability. Therefore, those are available for the selection of home decorating materials and for the R&D on anti-termite agents.
