基礎數學補救教學對學生學習微積分成效影響之研究

Research of the Influence and Effect on Remedy Teaching in Basic Mathematics about Student for Studying Calculus

摘要


為輔助學生奠定良好的數學基礎,本校自九十三學年度起實施新生基礎數學會考及補救教學。考試內容為高職數學,期使學生在打好高中職基礎的情況下,達到更好的學習效果。基礎數學會考辦理的方式是,在入學前做第一次測驗,成績未達標準者進行四週的補救教學,之後再做第二次測驗。為探討補救教學之實施成效,本文利用平均數檢定、變異數均齊性檢定、Ridit分析與相關分析等,分別探討補救教學前後學生成績之變化情形、各單元教材學習成效之變動及對微積分學期成績之影響。研究結果發現,有補救教學之學生進步之成績顯著高於未參加補救教學之學生。補救教學後之成績的變異數,比補救教學前成績的變異數顯著較小,即補救教學可有效降低學生程度間之差異。補救教學後之學生學習成果以三角函數、指數與對數、向量、圓錐曲線的單元進步較多,而這幾個單元通常是學生學習成績表現較不理想的部分。由相關分析結果可看出,原先第一次基礎數學測驗成績不理想之學生,經過補救教學後,其微積分學期成績已與第一次基礎數學測驗成績無顯著之相關。由微積分學期成績分佈的圖形可看出,不少經過補救教學後之學生,可以有很好的成績表現。

Trying to establish the good ability on mathematics foundation, NTUT implemented the qualifying examination and remedy teaching on basic mathematics to the freshmen since 2004 until now. The content of the examination is mathematics in vocational school. Anyone who did not pass this qualification should attend 「Precalculus course」. The precalculus course would be held at night for 4 weeks, and begin in the first term. Testing again in the fifth week. For probe into implement effect, this research use the method of testing the mean, testing homogeneity of variance, Ridit analysis and correlation analysis etc., discussing the score variation after remedy teaching in Precalculus course, and also discussing the change of learning effect in each teaching section, and the correlation between basic mathematics score and calculus score. The research discovered that after remedy teaching, student score is higher than before and score variation is smaller than before, namely the remedy teaching may reduce the difference between students. After remedy teaching, the student to study the achievement by trigonometric function, exponential and logarithmic function, vector, and the conic unit progresses more, and these units are also the ones students perform worse. By the correlation analysis result, the students who has low score in first examination after the remedy teaching, the score of calculus has been not correlated by the first mathematics examination. By the calculus score distribution graph, these students may have good performance.
