細胞激素在牙齒矯正移動過程中所扮演的角色

摘要


在受到矯正裝置所施與的力量後,牙周組織內的細胞會釋放出細胞激素。這些細胞激素可調節在矯正移動過程中骨頭重塑的機轉。這些細胞激素也會被釋放至牙齦溝液中,並可反映出牙周韌帶內產生的生理反應。為了能夠在人體檢測這些細胞激素的變化,觀察牙齦溝液內細胞激素組成成份的改變是一個非侵略性的實驗方式。最近的實驗已經發現矯正施力能夠語導細胞激素的合成,並且支持細胞激素對於矯正施力所造成的骨吸收中扮演重要的角色。

Cytokines are expressed by cells within the periodontium in response to mechanical stress produced by orthodontic appliances. These cytokines can modulate process of bone remoldeling during orthodontic tooth movement. The gingival crevicular fluid (GCF) composition is supposed to reflect the physiological status of the periodontal ligament. In order to monitor the expression of cytokines in humans non-invasively, changes of the compositions of gingival crevicular fluid have been studied. The data of recent study showed that the application of orthodontic force induces synthesis of cytokines which support the hypothesis that these cytokines play important roles in bone resorption during the application of orthodontic force.
