The mechanism of ankylosis is unclear, but the etiology of ankylosis can be attributed to various factors. Clinically, we can find less than normal mobility, resistance to orthodontic movement, reduced height of occlusion, or lack of alveolar growth in a developing subject. If infraocclusion occurs, there are clinical complications, such as tilting and periodontal defect around adjacent tooth, excess eruption of the antagonist. Treatment of ankylosed teeth varies with the seventies. A serious research of clinical management of ankylosis was reviewed and presented in this article.
