Constructivism, a new educational thought widely discussed in Taiwan, is a theory about knowledge and learning. Therefore, in this article, the author first explains how learners construct their own knowledge, and what kind of knowledge the learners construct. The author then derives some educational implications from the exploration of the notions of the construcitivists' theory about knowledge and learning. The implications include: (1) Teachers need to accomodate their views of knowledge and learning, (2) Both teachers and students ought to have passions for knowledge and the will to share knowledge, and (3) Both teachers and students celebrate multiculture. Finally, the author suggests that the educational reformers in Taiwan should use constructivists' theory about knowledge and learning as a framework to reconceptualize our schooling and classroom learning.
