專家和生手在寫作修訂歷程上的差異及其在教學上的啟示

摘要

寫作回顧階段的修正和校訂，已被視為是寫作歷程建構全文的一重要部份，它使文章在最後能更臻一致與完美。本文藉由專家與生手在寫作修訂歷程中的行為差異進行探討與比較相關的研究結果，我們發現擅長於寫作的人，其修改文章所花費的時間占整個寫作過程時間之比例，顯著高於新手或寫作能力較差的人；而有技巧的寫作者會先作文章整體的修正，然後才做局部的校訂，他們會先增加、減少或重新安排全文的連結，然後再改正特殊的用字，亦即寫作專家比較注重整體性的問題，如段落、結構等；新手則較關心細節性的問題，如錯字、標點等。而重要的是寫作的修訂技巧與策略，可以透過教學來加強學生比方面的能力，教師如何進行專家所擁有的寫作特性方面之教學，是不容忽視的教學課題。基於上述的探討，本文乃提出一些具體的建議，以作為教師在寫作教學時的參考。

The revising and editing of the reviewing stage of writing is an important process in constructing a piece of writing. It creates a more accurate and neat product. This paper investigated the differences inthe revising and editing process between experts and novices. It also compared the relative literature. The researcher found that experts spent more time revising and editing their writings than the novices did. The skilled writer checked the paper for clarity of ideas, structure revision, increase, decrease or rearrange ment of the connection among their drafts at the first stage, before proofreading for errors on punctuation, spelling and grammar.It is a very important issue for teachers to teach the characteristics of experts' writing for novices and low-achieving students because it can improve competence on revising and editing and develop skills or strategies of writing through teaching. The researcher finally provids some suggestions on writing teaching for school teachers.
