應用網路科技設計師資培育課程之教學活動初探

Web-based Teaching Activities in Pre-service Teacher Education Courses

摘要


本研究應用網路作為自學系統、發表園地、搜尋引擎和討論論壇來設計師資培育課程中「兒童文學導論」和「教學原理」之教學活動,以輔助和充實傳統的課堂教學;並在教學實施後根據問卷調查、訪談和網路活動紀錄來探索參與學生之意見與態度。研究者發現,首先,學生肯定網路化自學系統之(1)資料呈現的多元與完整;(2)學習不受時空限制;和(3)學生可以依據興趣作選擇性學習,節省課堂時間。其次,網路化發表園地將學生從網路資訊的消費者轉化為提供者,提高學生之參與感與學習動機。再次,把網路當搜尋引擎之教學活動設計,任教者必須事先作具體及周密之規劃。最後,學生普遍表示他們對於在網路上進行討論感到自在;研究者同時發現當所討論的主題焦點越清楚,學生互動越多,越能感受討論之助益;不過學生的討論缺乏挑戰同儕之批判性。

This study develops Web-based teaching activities that employ WWW as tutor, publishing house, navigator, and forum, in pre-service teacher education courses ”Instruction to Children's Literature” and ”Teaching Methods and Principles” to supplement the traditional classroom instruction; and explores students' attitude and opinions toward these activities after the implementation with data collected from survey, interviews, and Internet activity records. First, the researcher found students possess positive attitude toward Web-based tutor system for 1) the information presented is comprehensive; 2) learning is not restricted by time and space; and 3) students can learn selectively according to their interest without waste time in the classroom. Second, Web-based publishing house activity transforms students from Web information consumers into producers, and thus improves their sense of participation and learning motivation. Third, to develop teaching activity using WWW as the navigator, teachers need to provide specific guidelines for the student. Finally, students indicate they fell comfortable on doing discussion electronically, and the researcher also found the more focused on the theme and topics designed for students to engage in the electronic discussion, the more interaction students are likely to achieve, and the more students are to feel satisfied about the discussion.
