摘要

這篇文章寫的是與一群五六十年前從北平輔仁心理系畢業的老心理人的相遇與相認；是與北平與台灣輔仁心理系歷史的相遇與相認；是與中國與台灣近代歷史的相遇與相認；是與西方心理學歷史的相遇與相認；是與儒家仁學的相遇與相認；是西方心理學與華夏民族精神的相遇與相認；是與我自己個人的、專業的歷史相遇與相認。這之間似乎有著若絕若續的緣分聯繫著彼此，也似乎一息尚存地流向未來。

This article unfolds various encounters: the autho's encounter with a group of senior psychologists graduated from the Department of Psychology of Fu Jen Catholic University in Bei-ping some fifty or sixty years ago; the encounter between the psychology departments of the Fu Jen in Bei-Ping and the one in Taiwan; the encounter of modern Chinese and Taiwanese history; the encounter between western psychology and ”benevolence” (仁, ren) the ultimate ideal of Confucianism; the encounter of the spirits of western psychology and Chinese consciousness; the encounter of the author's personal and the professional selves. These ceaseless chains of encounters connect individual dots to shape the future development of psychological studies in Taiwan.
