運用健康促進降低員工總體重之專案

USE HEALTH PROMOTION TO REDUCE THE OVERALL WEIGHT OF EMPLOYEES

摘要


本文旨於職場推動健康促進活動降低員工總體重。於2016年員工健康檢查1571位,身體質量指數過高佔43.6%,威脅員工健康,引發動機。經原因調查BMI過高與飲食、活動習慣與行為問題有關,故專案小組針對上述原因,執行七項改善方案:(一)舉辦輕食烹飪課程;(二)舉辦運動訓練課程;(三)員工健康管理系統-新增熱量計算專區;(四)舉辦戰勝BMI;(五)醫院餐廳推行輕食餐;(六)統整並推動參與院內動態社團;(七)設計健康賓果卡。結果102位專案參與員工總體重下降5.48%,平均減重3.8公斤,達專案目標。顯示健康減重需有良好的飲食習慣及規律運動。

This article aims to report a health promotion program in a workplace to reduce the overall weight of the employees. In 2016, a total of 1,571 employees completed their health checks, and high body mass index (BMI) was observed in 43.6% of them. This health threatening issue motivated this project. After investigation, the causes of high BMI were associated with diet, activity habits and behavioral problems. Therefore, the task force carried out seven improvement programs addressing the above issues: (1) organizing a light food cooking course; (2) organizing sports training courses; (3) adding a calorie calculation function to the employees' Health Management System; (4) holding an activity named 'Fighting BMI'; (5) launching light meals at the hospital restaurant; (6) integrating and promoting participation in an activity society within the hospital; and (7) designing a healthy bingo card. As a result, a total of 102 employees participated in this project and the overall body weight dropped by 5.48%, with an average weight loss of 3.8 kg, reaching the goal of the project. The findings show that good eating habits and regular exercise are important steps to healthy weight loss.
