摘要

護理理論引領護理科學的發展，而護理科學也影響護理理論構成方向和內容。當護理理論應用於護理實務或護理研究時，藉著這個過程也測試或驗證現有的護理知識，並建立起新的護理知識，經由這個持續不斷的過程，可以達到護理科學的發展。高齡化是全球性的議題，由於系統功能的衰退，老化衰弱已成為老人照護的一個重要主題。由文獻證實老年人進行適當的運動可以預防日常生活功能缺損及疾病的發生，因此本文即以羅氏適應模式為基本架構，發展一個運用運動性因應方法及非運動性因應方法來適應老人衰弱的中型理論，首先將現有的理論性及研究性文獻進行分析及綜合，並以這些知識為基礎發展老化衰弱適應模式。

Nursing theory constitutes nursing science, and nursing science also affects the direction and content of nursing theory. When nursing theory is applied in nursing practice or nursing research, it can test or validate the existing knowledge and build a new nursing knowledge. Through this ongoing process, it can achieve the development of nursing science. Aging is a global issue. With the systematic decline of the functioning, frailty has therefore become a particularly important geriatric topic. Since exercise for elderly have been suggested to have preventative effects on ADL impairment, and the occurrence of diseases, the purpose of this paper is to develop a middle-range nursing theory of adaptation for frailty with exercise and non-exercise coping mechanisms. Theoretical substruction was used to deduce the adaptation for frailty from the Roy’s adaptation model. At first, theoretical and research literature findings were synthesized to provide the foundational, theory-building strategies which would be used to develop the adaptation for frailty.
