因為學生的身高每年都會改變,要隨著學生身高的改變來實施課桌椅對號入座措施,以達到視力保健、減輕脊柱負擔、維護生長發育、提高學習效率等目標,對學校教師及行政人員而言都是一項大挑戰,本研究以務實慎思取向,以行動研究方法實踐學校課桌椅對號入座措施。過程中訪問學校內二十四位老師、二位主任、鄰近四所學校、本校總務及訓導同仁等,做為研究資料收集的來源。從研究歷程了解新型課桌椅在學校實務現場存在的問題是型號繁瑣、數量不夠、經費不足、缺乏課桌椅資源調度中心、結構不佳、使用人與管理者皆對新型課桌椅認識不清等。研究者堅持恪遵課桌椅對號入座原則,終於完成全校課桌椅適配行動,使全校學生課桌椅的適配率從16.4﹪提高至87.7﹪,建議教育主管機關應儘速將課桌椅正確使用的規定納入學校衛生評鑑中,以督促學校重視學生使用正確課桌椅之權益,為學生健康把關。
Most elementary students experience considerable yearly increases in their height in a period of rapid growth in their lives. Consequently, a tremendous challenge has been posed upon teachers and school administrators to devise a designated-seating system that is adaptive to the changing heights of their students to fulfill multiple purposes of vision care, spinal stress alleviation, growth and development sustenance, and efficient learning. This study is an action study that investigates the pre-designated seating system of classroom desks and chairs in an elementary school from a perspective of prudence and pragmatism. It is found through the research process that current problems with those new-style classroom desks and chairs in use include the complexity of various styles and designs, insufficient supply, insufficient budget, lack of centralized coordination for the distribution of classroom desks and chairs, poor structural design, and inadequate knowledge of both the user and the administrator about those new-style classroom desks and chairs. After the researcher rearranged classroom seating throughout the school strictly by the principle of pre-designated seating, an increase in fitting rate of classroom desks and chairs from 16.4% before this study to 87.7% has been registered. It is suggested in this study that education authorities swiftly include the proper use of classroom desks and chairs into the scheme of school health evaluation and safeguard students’ health by urging schools to pay attention to students’ right to proper classroom desks and chairs.
