The rate of drug abuse in Taiwan is decreasingly amongst adolescents but drug abuse in adolescents remains certain. The Ecological views of drug abuse are: substance elements, small systems, middle systems, external systems and great systems. When applied to solution-focused, brief counseling to drug abuse adolescents follows their own individual pace, and makes it more suitable because solution-focused brief counseling is perceived as less coercive than other models. Finally, the transtheoretical model and stages of change was used to probe solution-focused brief counseling and found to be suitable for use in of drug abusing adolescent. The expectancy would reduce drug dosage and relapse prevention.
