本研究旨在瞭解某專科學校中學生的老化知識以及對高齡者態度的概況與相關性,並探究不同背景變項在老化知識及態度方面之差異情形。採取橫斷式問卷調查法,針對苗栗地區某所專科學校護理科和非護理科學生,取得有效樣本166人。主要研究結果發現,專科學生的老化知識程度為中等偏低,平均正確率為50.26%,對高齡者的一般與醫療態度則是屬於中等偏正向之態度。學生的老化知識、對高齡者的一般態度與醫療態度三者之間有顯著正相關。男學生、客家族群、未來願意從事高齡相關工作者,老化知識較佳。客家族群與家庭經濟小康的學生,對高齡者的一般態度較正向。不同科別、與高齡者相處感受、未來從事高齡相關工作之意願以及與高齡者同住意願等變項,會影響學生對高齡者的醫療態度。根據研究結果,提出老人相關課程活動規劃、政府行政部門以及未來研究之具體建議,作為教育實務與研究工作之參考。
The purposes of this study were to understand the knowledge and attitude of nursing junior college students toward the elderly persons. The relationship between students' knowledge and attitudes toward the elderly persons in different background variables were explored. Cross-sectional survey and purposive sampling were used. A total of 166 effective samples including nursing and non-nursing students were collected. The results of the study indicated that the subjects had a moderate level of knowledge and slightly positive attitude toward the elderly persons. There was a significant positive correlation among the knowledge, general attitudes and geriatrics attitudes. Male, Hakka group, and students willing to work with the elderly persons had significant higher scores than other students in the knowledge scale. Hakka group students and students from well-off families had a positive general attitude toward the elderly persons. Nursing students, perception about interaction with the elderly persons, willing to work with elderly persons, and willing to live with elderly persons had higher geriatrics attitude scores. Based on the finding of this study, recommendations of geriatric curriculum, and activities were drawn for the government administration and future study.
