不同去雄處理對玉米台南24號採種生產之影響

The Effects of Different Emasculations on Seed Production of Maize 'Tainan No.24'

摘要


為探討不同去雄處理對玉米親本生育及雜交種子生產之影響,選用玉米台南24號母本於開花期間分別在A:雄穗苞葉未裂時B:雄穗苞葉微裂時C:雄穗突出苞葉但花粉未開裂時等3個階段將雄穗剪除,並以D:慣行去雄方式(雄穗苞葉微裂時,拔除雄穗)做為對照處理。調查結果顯示:不同去雄處理間親本花期間隔(ASI)無顯著差異;去雄速率以A、B、C等三種修剪處理之去雄速率均較D處理之慣行去雄速率為快;母株葉片數以C處理較多,其次為B處理、D處理,A處理較少;果穗重量及小區產量皆以A處理較低,C處理較高。在考量對植株影響較小且降低生產成本的原則下,於雄穗苞葉微裂時將雄穗剪除似屬較為可行之去雄方式。

Four emasculations (detasselling at A: still in the stalks, B: just visible, C: before pollen spread and D: pull out the tassels on just visible) were evaluated their effects for the parent plant development and hybrid seed production on maize cv. Tainan No.24. The result showed that there had no significant difference at the ASI of the parent plants. The emasculation rate of A, B, C treatments were faster than D treatment. Leaf number of the A treatment was the lowest, whereas and the C treatment was the highest in all treatments. The ear weight and the plot yield of the A treatment were the lowest and the C treatment was the highest. In consideration of the damage to the plant and the cost of production, detasselling at just visible would be more suitable.
