The purpose of this study was to explore the relation between the adaptation behaviors of an elder primipara and marital conflicts. The researcher of this study, as a primary nurse, took care of this primipara until postpartum 40 days. The data were collected by in-depth interview. Nine pieces of process recording were completed and the contents were analyzed inductively. The finding show that the case experienced a marital conflicts, the unstable marital adaptation, and the affectional link with the infant. Also the results indicated that maternal work might be affected by the marital life. On the other hand, the attachment might have an influence on the martial life. From the findings of the study, the significance of family -centered care is emphasized.
