護理專業人才培育攸關臨床醫療體系的實務運作與社區全體國民健康的照顧需求。本研究調查2002~2006年臺灣護理教育專業人才培育的近況。研究設計採橫斷式調查法,以「臺灣各類護理教育學制專業人才培育現況調查表」探討臺灣39所設有護理科、系(所)學校的招生率、畢業人數、考照及格率等重要成果指標的變化。結果發現:2002~2006年臺灣各級護理教育學制,每年平均招生人數(含研究生)16643人,畢業人數13811人,大學(含二技)學制每年平均招生(42.28%)與畢業人數最多(41.03%)。考照及格率以四年制大學學制(不含二技)畢業生的護理師考照平均及格率最高(84.60%),二專畢業生最低(40.42%)。畢業後從事護理相關行業以二技比率最高(88.93%),五專比率最低(40.98%)。升學率以五專最高(22.86%)。本結果可提供醫療單位、教育與專業組織瞭解護理人才培育近況,提供未來護理相關決策制定之運用。
Professional manpower in nursing can directly affect the health care system and the health needs of people. The purpose of the study was to analyze the recent situation in professional manpower by the nursing education system in Taiwan during 2002 to 2006. A cross-sectional design was used to analyze thirty-nine nursing schools throughout Taiwan including the important index of annual enrollment number, graduate number, RN license passing rate etc. Major findings of this study demonstrated: From 2002 to 2006, the average annual enrolment number was 16643 students (including graduate students) at different levels of the nursing education system; the average annual number of graduates was 13811 students; there were the highest average annual university recruitment in the university system (including two-year recurrent education) and graduation rate which were 42.28% and 41.03%, respectively. The rate at which university graduates passed the RN license examination (excluding two-year recurrent education) was highest (84.60%), and that for graduates of the two years nursing program of college was lowest (40.42%). The employment rate of graduates of recurrent education in nursing related jobs was the highest (88.93%), and that for graduates of the five-year nursing program was the lowest (40.98%). The five-year nursing program had the highest admissions rate for continuous education (22.86%). The analytical results of this study can help medical health, educational and professional organizations better understand the status of nursing education for professional manpower. Moreover, the findings are important for establishing nursing-related policy in the future.
