Belonging to top ten the most famous and important novels in the world, the novel ”Anna Karenina” is characterized by the compositional uniqueness. L. Tolstoy presented two lines: Anna's and Levin's themes, which are developed in parallel and, as it seems, do not have any connection. The author of this article attempts to analyze the internal relationship of these two lines and the relationship between Anna, Levin and the other characters with the principles of comparison. In this article the attention, mainly, is concentrated on Anna's theme, and to a lesser degree on the other main hero-Levin.
