降低手術室執行快速消毒件數之改善專案

手術器械須完全滅菌方可使用，快速消毒僅用於緊急情況，因其消毒程序及消毒後的運送備受挑戰，一旦滅菌不完全可能對病人生命安全造成極大威脅。本專案目的為降低手術室執行器械快速消毒件數，預防感染之潛在危險，提升手術病人安全及醫療品質。經現況分析後發現由於器械處理流程時間長、其他科別借用器械、廠商器械未及時滅菌，使得器械運轉不及而需快速消毒。故經由成立器械小組、手術管委會定期管控、重整手術器械組合及規定醫師、廠商器械於手術前一日完成滅菌為專案之改善策略，使器械快速消毒由改善前410件降至改善後的147件成效顯著。本專案能有效降低手術室執行器械快速消毒，亦能提升手術器械管理，並對病人安全有所助益。

Surgical apparatus must be sterilized completely before being used. Rapid disinfection is only applied for emergency situation because the challenge of disinfection procedure and the sterilized apparatus delivery are enormous. Once sterilization is not executed completely, it may cause the greatest threat to patients’ safety. The purpose of this project is by reducing the executions of surgical apparatus rapid disinfection in operating rooms to prevent the possible dangerous infection and improve the surgery patients’ safety and the quality of care. After analyzing the current situation, the result shows that the apparatus processing time is long; other divisions borrow the apparatus; and the suppliers do not sterilize the apparatus in time. Therefore it is necessary to speed up the disinfection of the apparatus. The improvement strategy is to set up a surgical apparatus team to manage these apparatus, to require the suppliers to sterilize the apparatus 1 day earlier before the surgery, and to ask surgical management committee to regularly control the process. Surgical apparatus disinfection execution is reduced from 410 times per month to 147 times per month after the improvement. In addition to effectively reducing the surgical apparatus rapid disinfection in operation rooms, this project also enhances the management of surgical apparatus and improves the patients’ safety.
