Cumulative trauma disorders(CTD)have increased five-fold dince 1979. In the USA, CTD was the most common disorders among work-re-lated injuries. The literatures showed a lot of occupational factors, including high repetition, prolonged or poor posture, and unbearable forces all contribute to the occurrence of those disorders. In this article, the author reviews the epidemiology, intervention model, and management of CTDs. As physical therapists, in addition to treat those patients, we also have to educate our patients regarding prevention strategies for cumulative trauma disorders.
