The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of the aerobic dance on serum c-reactive proteins and lipids of the healthy women. Eighteen females (age: 29.1±6.3 years) participated a 12-week aerobic dance program (the range of exercise intensity at 65-80% maximal heart rate), twice/each week, about 45-50 minutes/each time. Fasting blood was drawn before and after this program and analyzed for C-reactive protein (C-RP), triglyceride (TG), high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol (HDL-C), and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C). In addition, the changes of subjects' body mass indexes (BMI) and waist circumferences (WC) were recorded and compared. After the program was completed, the BMI and WC were significantly lower than the previous. (21.4±2.0-21.0±1.8kg/m^2 73.8±7.8-70.4±5.7 cm, p<.05). Except TG, C-RP (1307.2±53.0-1059.6±30.4ng/dL) and LDL-C (106.2±16.30-92.3±13.1mg/dL) significantly decreased, but HDL-C (58.0±12.7-61.2±12.0mg/dL) significantly increased. C-RP was significantly correlated with previous BMI, but was not significantly related to TG, HDL-C and LDL-C pre-and post-exercise. It was found that the twelve-week aerobic dance had a positive effect on C-RP, HDL and LDL of the females.
