中國舞蹈“身體符號”之能指與所指研究

The Research of the Signifier and the Signified of the Dance Body Symbol

摘要


舞蹈以身體舞姿作為表達的符號,每一動作、姿勢都有其內在的情意內涵,舞蹈身體符號是一種曖昧的、含混的表達。舞蹈身體符號沒有語言、文字等符號系統的規定性或邏輯性,每一舞蹈動作的能指範圍是廣泛開放的,所指的概念意義也是多元自由的。舞蹈身體符號的能指與所指是任意的現象,它創造一種離開現實的虛幻世界,這一虛幻世界表現真實存在的心靈情感,它以身體舞姿為符號傳達出內在的情感,舞蹈藝術主要在於表現什麼而不是指明什麼!舞蹈是一種文化產物,它所表現的身體動作姿勢正是一種文化符號,是相當重視「語境」的差異性,也就是相同的舞蹈動作姿勢在不同情感表現的作品中,呈現出不同的能指與所指的關係,它是透過語境的不同而有的差異性,因此,它也是一種情景符號或情境符號。因此,中國舞蹈身體符號的現代化不是完全捨棄文化根源的現代肢體表現,而是在歷史文化脈絡的血源中貫注現代的美學思維,這是一種既源出於歷史文化,又立基於當代社會的傳承式創作,是中國舞蹈身體符號獨特的本質。舞蹈身體符號的不可變動性築基於人們的身體動作與姿勢,而可變動性是大幅度地存在於身體符號的能指與所指的關係中,舞蹈身體符號是一種獨特的非語音中心的言語表現。能指與所指的動力因關係是創造循環的,二者是雙面的動力因關係。語境是人的情感、文化因素與社會因素相同交織變化而成的,它既不固定也非無差異的,而舞蹈身體符號是必須涉及語境因素的差異性。

The Dance Body Symbol is a kind of ambiguous and misty expression. It uses the body posture as an expression of the symbol and every movement has its own implication. Unlike language or word which has its own system ism and logicality, the signifier of the dance movement is comprehensive, and the signified of the dance is multiform. The signifier and the signified of the Dance Body Symbol is a random phenomenon that creates a fantasy world which represents the true and existing emotions by the dancing postures. The main purpose of dancing art is to express, not to point out, something. Dance is the product of culture; the body action posture that dance expresses is exactly a kind of cultural sign and respects the differences of scene of speaking. That is, the same choreographic action posture presented in the work of the different emotional performance can show the difference between the signifier and the signified. Therefore, it is also a kind of scene symbol or scenario symbol. The Dance Body Symbol is based on human body language and postures and the variable exists in the relation of the signifier and the signified. The Dance Body Symbol is a unique, non-phonetic performance. The motive power of the signifier and the signified is circulating creation; they are the two-faced relations of the motive power. The scene of speaking is the result of human emotions, the cultural and social factor. It is not stable and makes no difference; therefore, the Dance Body Symbol has to vary the scenes of speaking.
