本研究的目的在瞭解台灣地區視覺障礙者的就業現況及其相關影響因素。研究樣本以叢集隨機抽樣方式,抽取自台灣地區19-60歲的視覺障礙者共1051人。研究方法則是以量、質方式,進行資料的收集與分析。研究結果分為視覺障礙者的就業現況及影響視覺障礙者實際就業困難因素兩部份。就業現況包括視覺障礙者的就業率、就業率與教育程度、專業訓練、專長、行動能力、及年齡的關係、工作類別、工作消息來源、工資收入、對目前工作是否滿意、有無意願更換工作、及接受職訓的意願。至於影響視覺障礙者實際就業困難因素則有雇主對視覺障礙者的認知、社會對視覺障礙者的接納程度、視覺障礙者本身的教育、專業、人際關係、心態及資訊的取得等因素。最後,研究者根據研究結果提出增進視覺障礙者就業率及職種多元化的建議。
The purpose of the study was to investigate occupations of individuals with visual impairment and its affected factors. The samples were 1051 over-18-but-less-than-60-year-old certified individuals whose vision is impaired in Taiwan. Both phone interview and personal interview were used as data collection approaches. The results of the study were divided into two parts. One was to deal with the current occupation of visually impaired individuals while the other was to study its relevant factors. Finally suggestions were raised for improving both employment of individuals with visual impairments and future research.
