This study was to explore the current situation and correlation between high school life counseling chiefs' emotional management and work stress in Greater Taipei Area, Taiwan. Questionnaire was applied to survey 121 counseling chiefs of Greater Taipei Area. The findings showed that the overall emotional management status of high school life counseling chiefs tends to be medium to high as well as the overall work stress tends to be medium to low. High school life counseling chiefs' emotional management was significantly different in terms of gender. High school life counseling chiefs' work stress was significantly different in terms of age. There is a negative correlation between emotional management and work stress for high school life counseling chiefs. The emotional management of the high school life counseling chiefs has significantly influenced on work stress. Moreover, emotional adjustment has a higher influence on work stress.
