摘要

當前網路資訊科技透過WWW的普及化趨勢，反應在通信科技與資訊工業的高度發展後，資訊與通信產品的整合，未來網路資訊將以某些產品形式深入一般大眾生活中。以產品設計而言，此時產品的軟體人機介面設計相形重要。本研究乃產品軟體介面設計前之先期研究，採問卷方式的主觀性研究調查，對101位全球資訊網使用者，就其使用全球資訊網之習慣、原因，及其使用現有瀏覽器各項功能的頻率特性，與使用全球資訊網和現有瀏覽器之主要困難點作調查分析，以作為網路資訊機介面設計發展時重要的參考依據。

The advent of World-Wide Web (WWW) greatly accelerates the dissemination of the information technology. In the near future, information technology will have an even greater impact on our daily lives through the introduction of ”information appliances,” such as WebTV. Since the target users of these information appliances need not be computer experts, they must provide a user-friendly interface. A study is conducted in this research to understand how people access information on the network, In all, 101 users of current WWW browsers are surveyed by using questionnaires to discover the users' habits and reasons of using browsers, the frequencies of using different browser functions, and major difficulties encountered. The results of the survey are analyzed and summarized for use as reference in interface design of future information appliances.
