桃園縣高中生性知職及性教育需求抽樣調查

Sexual Knowledge, Educational Needs among Senior High School Students in Taoyuan

摘要


目的:探討桃園縣高中生性知識、影響性知識的相關因素,以及對於性教育需求的情形。 方法:以多階段集束比例抽樣,獲得一代表性樣本,採用不記名問卷作調查。 結果與結論:在2005年9-10月間共回收有效問卷1019份,回收率93.7%。 (一)學生性知識的來源以老師、學校朋友、同學為主,其次為電視、廣播,報紙、雜誌、聽演講等,值得重視的是,來自父母的比例偏低,這也許與我國文化有關,父母較不習慣與子女談性,是性教育的提供上可努力的地方。 (二)在性教育的需求方面,以兩性交往最高,其次為性方面協助的管道,而目前學校所提供的性教育較偏向性生理、避孕、性病等,與學生需求不符,值得教育單位注意及改善。 (三)性知識答對比例偏低(63.2%),尤其在排卵、受孕的題目,以及避孕方式、性病造成的影響及愛滋病傳播途徑等題目答對比率均偏低。可幫助性教育內容之設計或技巧作參考 (四)與性知識高低有關的變數:年級是依年級增加,答對比例增加。女生得分高於男生。排名愈前面,答對比例愈高,但並未達統計差異。母親管教方式以自由放任型、開明權威型得分高於專制權威型及忽略冷漠型。可以考慮針對這些性知識得分不高族群加強性教育課程的提供。

Objectives: To investigate sexual knowledge and its influential factors as well as educational needs on sexuality education among senior high school students in Taoyuan. Method: Multi-stage cluster proportional sampling was performed and anonymous questionnaires were administered. Results: 1019 students participated in this study with a response rate of 93.7% during September and October, 2005. The findings and recommendation are: (1) Students obtained sexual knowledge mainly from teachers, schools, friends, and classmates, followed by the mass media (TV, radio, magazines) and lectures. More importantly, only a small number of students reported that their parents provided them with sexual education. It is possible that Chinese parents were embarrassed and thus hesitant to talk about sex with their children. Hence, parental sexuality education is highly needed. (2) With regard to educational needs of sexuality education, ”how to interact with opposite sex” had the highest scores, followed by ”where to get help”. It was clear that students' reported needs were different from the present sexual education provided by schools, in which sexual physiology, contraceptive methods, and sexually-transmitted diseases were the main focus. (3) Correct response rate of the sexual knowledge was only 63.3%. It was particularly low in questions related to ovulation, pregnancy, contraceptive methods, and sexually-transmitted diseases and AIDS. We suggested that content as well as teaching methods of sexuality education should be improved. (4) The influential factors related to the sexual knowledge were: grade, gender, and parenting styles, Students of higher grade scored higher on sexual knowledge than did lower grade students. Female students had higher scores than did male students. Indulgent parenting style and authoritarian parenting style had higher scores than did others.
