本研究的目的在瞭解情感性疾病患者的住院需求及其相關因素。以台北市某兩所醫院的精神病防情感性疾病患者為對象,採立意取樣問卷調查為主,利用結構性問卷,面對面訪談收集資料,收案113名,包括躁症個案59位,重鬱症個案54位。問卷內容包括病患基本屬性資料及精神病患住院需求量表。結果顯示住院需求量表經由因素分析可歸納為「疾病調適」、「專業訊息」及「情感支持」三項,各題平均得分3.29分,顯示病患的住院需求程度頗高,兩種診斷的病患均以「疾病調適」方面的需求最大。躁症個案,不同的基本屬性變項與住院需求各項均未達到顯著水準;重鬱個案的住院意願、婚姻狀況及發病年齡的不同,影響住院需求之不同。本研究可提供醫護人員於臨床照戶病患滿足其需求的參考,並有助於提昇且改進醫療照護品質。
This study attempts to better understand the special needs of inpatients suffering from mood disorder so that the most effective course of clinical care and treatment can be determined and applied. The target group includes 113 inpatients (59 diagnosed as manic depressive; 54 as severely depressed). Baseline information was obtained through questionnaires and face-to-face interviews noting patient demographics and their concerns in particular. The mean rate, measured at 329, shows that adjustment to illness, psychiatric counseling and emotional support are areas of greatest need. Of these, ”adjustment to illness”, or developing successful coping strategies for recovery, prove most immediate. Specific variables were identified as significant in recovery of severely depressed patients: voluntary admission to the psychiatric clinic, marital status, and understanding of disease onset.
