摘要
薦椎骨質疏鬆壓力性骨折(sacral insufficiency fracture)是一個容易被忽略的下背痛病因，它經常發生在骨質疏鬆的老年女性，通常是沒有外傷或是輕微外傷後產生。因為其臨床症狀與腰椎病變或髖關節病變類似，加上一般X光檢查不容易顯現，所以很容易被誤診為腰椎或髖關節病變，因而接受其它不必要的檢查或治療(如腰椎磁振照影或腰椎手術治療)。薦椎骨質疏鬆壓力性骨折通常屬於穩定性的骨折，必須盡早增加病人的行動能力，以避免產生老年人缺少活動後的各種併發症。

Sacral insufficiency fractures are an often unsuspected cause of low back pain, especially in elderly osteoporotic women. Because symptoms mimic pain secondary to disorders of the lumbar spine and hips, they may lead to unnecessary examinations and inappropriate treatments. Immobilization after sacral insufficiency fracture can lead to complications of immobility. Progressive ambulation with an assistive device is strongly advocated.
