中重度持續型氣喘兒童之疾病自我管理衛教需求

The Needs of Self-Management for Asthmatic Children

摘要


背景:自我管理需求於本研究的定義是“當個人處於受威脅的情境時,便開始尋求之資源,此資源能協助更加了解事情發生的原因,並能增加自我照顧的能力”。方法:研究設計為問卷調查法,篩選符合研究對象之60位氣喘兒童的父母,瞭解其對氣喘兒童自我管理之重要衛教需求。結果:本問卷調查的結果,最重要的自我管理衛教需求分別為:(1)氣喘的定義;(2)氣喘與感冒的區別;(3)長期服用氣喘藥物對身體的影響;(4)運動誘發型氣喘的定義;(5)氣喘平時日常生活的保養資訊;(6)氣喘發作時的症狀。結論/實務應用:本研究結果可作為未來設計學齡期氣喘兒童自我管理計畫之參考。

Background: The definition of "need of self-management" in this study was "when someone was in critical situation, he or she would start to look for the resource to help them to understand what happen and to increase their ability to care themselves". Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted with 60 parents, who have children with moderate to severe asthma, to understand the priority of the self-management needs of education. Results: Results from this survey presented the priority of the self-management needs of education for those families as following: (1) the definition of asthma, (2) the differences between asthma and a common cold, (3) the side effect of asthma medicine for long-term using, (4) the clarification of exercise induced asthma (EIA), (5) particular information for children with asthma in daily life care, and (6) the warning signs or symptoms for asthma attack. Conclusions/ Implications for practice: The result of this study may serve as a guideline to design the self-management program for school age children with asthma.
