At the end of August 2019, more than 290 manufacturers have invested to develop 5G in the world. The number of 5G users in Korea has exceeded 3 million. More than 10 million potential subscribers are looking forward to 5G in China, and 440,000 5G base stations are expected to complete by 2022. From the 2019 CIOE exhibition, it can be found that China is actively developing upstream wafers for the optical communication industry. There are seminars on communication chips and also optical wafers, optical connector sleeves, and many optical modules. Group manufacturers showcase related products and demonstrate network performance testing of 400G optical transceiver modules.
