Few studies have been done on information literacy curriculum in higher education since Paul Zurkowaki introduced the concept of ”information literacy” in 1974. However, higher education must shift focus to putting more efforts to prepare for the growth of information-literate citizens. Questionnaires were submitted to 33 teachers both in Taiwan and the U.S to explore their perceptions of teaching information literacy, including teaching audience, course objectives, instructional modes, course contents, evaluation methods, and related learning resources. The results represents here could be beneficial to educators attempting to design effective information literacy programs.
