理學院學生對圖書館空間設施需求性研究:以國立臺灣師範大學公館校區圖書分館空間改造整修工程為例

摘要


在數位科技發達與電子資源普及的時代,研究者的資訊需求改變,學生的學習方式更為多元,師生對校園空間需求也產生變化。理學院師生向來重視實驗,閱讀的文獻也以期刊為主,因此,數位資源早已是理學院師生的首選。在此趨勢下,理學院圖書館是否有存在的必要,是很多大學思考的問題,即使有理學院圖書館,但也趨向以「無紙建築」為設計理念。但是,使用者真正的需求為何?除了資料外,大學圖書館的空間應該扮演那些功能?這是一個值得討論的課題。本研究以照片引談法對臺師大理學院學生進行訪談,了解他們在空間改造前對於圖書館空間設施之需求;同時在圖書館完成整修後,亦透過照片引談法蒐集理學院學生對新空間設施的觀感與使用意見。

Replacing printed matters, digital sources have now become the predominant channel in the information exchanges among academic communities worldwide, so much so that space planning in science library needs to take new trend into consideration. As more and more hardcopies are deemed redundant, space planning in science library would focus on factors that faculties and students of science regard as critical to their uses of e-resources. If science library is to remain relevant and play a vital role in the higher institutions of education, its design and space planning should take the form science researchers judge most suitable to meet their requirements. In this article, we used photo-elicitation to interview the students of science in National Taiwan Normal University, investigating their needs for library space. According to their responses, we proposed principles for the space planning of science library. Meanwhile, after the remodeling of the library space, we also used photo-elicitation to interview the students of science, collected users' opinions of the new space.
