摘要

根據 2002 年到 2006 年期間我國疾病管制局的統計資料顯示，這五年內恙蟲病例的通報確定人數總共有 1,742 人，依據年齡分佈，十四歲以下兒童有 97 例，一歲以下的嬰兒僅有 2 例。嬰兒恙蟲病的病例仍屬罕見，關於恙蟲病在嬰兒的診斷及治療的文獻報告更是缺乏，在此，我們報告這個罕見嬰兒恙蟲病的案例，病患於入院經由血清學確定診斷之前，已持續發燒十天，身上出現焦痂，並有肝功能異常，在接受五天的 doxycycline 治療後，恢復良好，無相關之後遺症。此外，本文同時回顧恙蟲病的發生學、流行病學、病生理學、臨床表現及治療。（台灣家醫誌2011; 21: 93-98）

Scrub typhus is a rickettsian disease which is seldom found in infants. We reported a case of a 9-month-old infant who presented with high fever for 10 days before hospitalization. The diagnosis of scrub typhus was confirmed by serum immunofluorescent assay. We successfully treated with doxycycline (2.2 mg/kg/day, bid) for five days without any complications. In this report, we also discuss the etiology, epidemiology, pathophysiology, clinical symptoms and treatment of scrub typhus.(Taiwan J. Fam. Med. 2011; 21: 93-98)
