Prenatal education is a critical portion of obstetric nursing. Teaching skills of prenatal education is a required competence for obstetrical nurses. Expected mothers' learning behaviors have been different from the past in the Information Age. Three dimensions of prenatal education are discussed in this article including: (1) the current challenges for prenatal education; (2) the Internet usage growth and the expectant mothers' online searching behaviors; and (3) the important considerations of prenatal education websites. Thinking of the limitations of classroom-styled prenatal education and looking at the trend of globe Internet development, prenatal education website(s) might be an information delivery way meeting expectant mothers' need. Important website design issues for expectant mothers are discussed in this article.
