The purpose of this study, by adopting the quality method which includes the observing and deep interview, is to observe and describe the subculture representation from using the Internet Café by youths living in Taipei, and also the identity-construction which is made by the subculture. It is found in this research that the Internet Café is a role of ”channel” within the communication between the youths. It offers a real space for youths to communicate and simulate a ”face to face ”channel to allow youths to exchange their thoughts, feelings and trust with their peer group in this mixed real and cyber space, which molding their own culture and identity to youths themselves and also their peer group.
