Adjustment of Japan's Foreign Strategy in a Changing International Structure

Seven decades since the Second Great War, both the international order and Japan's foreign strategy face major shifts in direction. In relation with the development of the international society, Japan's strategic adjustment is moving in the opposite direction. To a certain extent, the fact that Japan has placed its priority in the Japan-US security alliance demonstrates Tokyo's understanding of international order and the essence of its vision for the future. Noting Tokyo's different policy orientation in different period, the adjustment of Japan's foreign policy strategy is greatly connected with the country's domestic politics. The Japan-US alliance plays an important role in the development of Japan's foreign policy strategy.
