從面子的觀點理解異文化-以台灣人與日本人的接觸交流為例

A Study of Cross-Culture Understanding Through Mianzi-from the Use of the Personal Contact between the Taiwanese and Japanese

摘要


本文以台灣人與日本人的接觸交流為例,探討因雙方面子概念的不同而造成溝通形式之差異進行分析研究,藉以増進台灣日本語教育中學習異國文化理解之目的。首先,對中國人與日本人的面子概念做探討。其次,針對面子的概念在台灣人與日本人接觸時如何顯現在溝通行為上,以7個事例進行分析。為保持客觀性,受訪者以「事例的當事人」的身分為前提接受採訪。由其結果得知,在全部的事例中,台灣人對面子的意識皆比日本人來得強,而所意識到的層面也大異其趣。最後從調査中彙整出台灣人與日本人的溝通方式的8點不同點。中日雖共用使同漢宇,但對日本人而言,「面子」是為外來語,從中國引入時對其詮釋就已偏離原義。因此雙方對面子的概念亦有所不同。在台日間人員接觸之場合,行異國文化理解之時,對「面子」之理解亦是不可或缺。

This paper studies how the mianzi works in the communicate action between Taiwanese and Japanese and aims to promote.At first, reviewing existing literature about the concept of mianzi between the Chinese and Japanese are conducted. Then, a survey for mianzi is executed through 7 actual cases of the contact between Japanese and Taiwanese. In order to give objectivity, the interviewers are supposed to be the person concerned. The result showed that Taiwanese conscious mianzi strongly in all cases compare with Japanese. It also showed that the conscious points are differs from the Japanese. Finally, 8 different points for communication style is reached.although both side of the country use a Chinese Characters, but for Japanese ”mianzi” is a word of foreign origin. When it was introduced into Japan, it seemed that the conceptual thinking of the mianzi had been changed, and makes a different points of view. When the Taiwanese and Japanese contact each other, from the viewpoint of learning cross-culture understanding, give an analysis for mianzi is needed.
