鎳氫電池太陽能充電器之最佳化設計

Optimal Design for a Solar-Cell-Driven Ni-MH Battery Charger

摘要


本文主旨在於研究如何選取適當太陽能板規格來對用於一般消費性電子產品的鎳氫充電電池進行充電。我們利用串聯多個小電壓太陽能板來調整太陽能板的輸出電壓,分析發現太陽能板的開路電壓需滿足:V(下标 oc)≥1.36•N•1.17+0.7(V)(N為電池串聯數目),電流才充得進去,實驗結果也與預測一致。因此對於一總面積固定的太陽能板存在一串並聯組合可滿足上述開路電壓的最小規格,但可提供較大電流充電,即達最佳化設計條件。本研究也嘗試利用一般用於天文觀測用的赤道追蹤儀來實現追蹤式充電法。

We presented a simple formula of V(subscript oc)≥1.36•N•1.17+0.7 (V) (N denotes the number of batteries in series) for determining the solar-cell's open-circuit voltage of a simple solar-cell-driven Ni-MH battery charger. Given a fixed collecting-area for a solar-cell module, there exits an optimal arrangement for the building blocks. Our predicted results will lead to the optimal design for transferring the maximum solar energy to the electrical energy deposited in the battery. We also experimentally verified this rule. Finally, we used an equatorial mount to fabricate a small tracking solar-cell battery charger to increase the collected solar energy.
