大台北地區民眾醫療服務使用之比較

摘要

本研究的主要目的在於透過對大台北地區一般民眾的訪談調查，以評估這些民眾在因應不同之疾病時，所採用之不同醫療方式，來比較不同層級醫療照顧之使用現況，並且希望能提供瞭解各種影響就醫之選擇的個人與社會因素。本研究是以大台北地區居民為取樣之範疇，主要以台北市各行政區以及台北縣各鄉鎮市的18歲以上居民為研究之對象。採用電話調查的方式來取得相關之資料，最後總計共取得1,063位受訪者。研究結果發現，民眾在面臨不同的健康問題時，所採取的策略不盡相同，民眾會視其問題的性質或類型而前往不同的醫療單位，一般不是太嚴重的小問題或是疼痛的問題時，較多的民眾傾向自行至藥房購買成藥來解決問題，而當某些特定的疾病，例如疼痛或是感染性疾病時，則較傾向到附近的小型診所。至於會前往綜合醫院或醫學中心就醫者，除了是某些特定的慢性疾病外，主要可能是在自行用藥或是社區診所中，無法提供有效的治療時，才會傾向至大型醫院去就醫。

The purpose of this study is to investigate how patients with different socioeconomic status may access differently to medical care upon various illness, and try to understand how the social factors and kinds of illness affect the medical care utilization by residents in Taipei metropolitan area. We conduct a random telephone survey in the area with subjects of 18 years and older in order to collect the necessary information. A total of 1,063 samples are collected in this study.
Our study finds that people take different approach as they face different health problems. Depending on the nature or type of their illness, people go to different kinds of medical care providers. When having less important illness or not so serious pains, people tend to buy over-the-counter drugs at the neighborhood drugstore to relieve pains. If pains progressed or discomfort perceived as infectious diseases, then they will go to small clinic in the community for treatment. If all these practices fail to solve their problems or having chronic diseases, they will go to general hospital or medical center for help.
