Objective: We describe a case of esophageal perforation who was successfully treated with non-surgical treatment and discuss other related issues in this report. Case Report: A young man with foreign body ingestion received gastroscopy and had suffered from chest pain 3 days later. The Computed tomography showed severe esophageal perforation. We treated him with non-surgically strategy and the outcome was favorable. Conclusion: Esophageal perforation may be occurred after foreign body ingestion or gastroscopy, and may be diagnosed by highly alerted clinicians. The treatment of esophageal perforation is mainly surgery. However, non-surgical treatment also turn out with good prognosis in patients with lesion contained in the mediastinum.
