北高雄某醫院肝癌與肝炎病毒感染之現狀
Current Status of Hepatocellular Carcinoma and Hepatitis Virus Infection in a Hospital at North Kaohsiung Area
摘要
In Taiwan, Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) is the leading cause of mortality of malignance of male patients. We want to know current status of HCC and hepatitis virus infection in a hospital at north Kaohsiung area. We retrospectively analysed clinical records of 155 pathologically proven HCC outpatients (male: 109; female: 46) in E-Da Hospital. Results revealed that male suffered more common from HCC in those complicated with hepatitis B infection than in those complicated with hepatitis C infection (p＜0.0001) in a hospital at north Kaohsiung. In addition, those complicated with hepatitis B and C infection had higher liver function test impairment (AST) than those without hepatitis B or C infection (p＜0.005). HCC complicated with hepatitis B infection occurred later than those in north Taiwan. This study also revealed that HCC was majorly complicated with either hepatitis B or C infection. Male suffered more common from HCC, especially those complicated with hepatitis B infection.
