新冠疫情對第二外語口語訓練之衝擊與省思

本研究以第二外語口語表達技能為主體，旨在比較新冠疫情下教師與學生對口説語言技能訓練於實體教室和遠距學習之感受與因應態度之異同，透過問卷調查、口語訪談和書面敘述的方式收集108-2學期教學者與學習者的經驗與想法之質量化研究法進行分析探討。研究結果顯示師生多偏好實體課堂，而非遠距視訊學習；也認為視訊軟體的功能無法完全提供實體課堂所需。教學者還有很大的努力空間，特別是需要更熟悉視訊軟體的操作技巧與強化其他促進互動溝通軟體功能的應用能力、教學者心態及其對科技融入課程的接受度將掌控影響推動遠距視訊學習之成效。

The research aimed to investigate college instructors' and students' reactions to teaching modalities (in-person and remote learning) under the influence of the COVID-19 and attitudes toward the new settings for oral skills development in foreign languages. The research involved a mixed quantitative and qualitative method, including a questionnaire, guided interviews, and reflective narratives in the semester 108-2, among the instructors and students who had to participate in complete or blended online learning. The research results showed that both college instructors and students preferred in-person to remote learning. Comparing to in-person learning, both instructors and students believed that online learning was less effective in understanding the course content, maintaining teacher-student and peer interactions, and keeping students on task. The results also show that there is still room for improvement for instructors in online teaching and positive attitudes are key to success. It is pivotal that instructors keep a growth mindset in updating technical skills and knowledge and integrating various interactive Apps in classroom activities to improve students' oral skills in foreign languages.
