國小偏遠學校學生閱讀學習與閱讀成就測驗之研究-以新竹縣某偏遠學校為例

摘要


台灣偏鄉社區的大型圖書館距離平均約有二十公里以上,這種閱讀環境設備下的孩子,與全世界測驗結果成就的差距有多遠值淂教育界予以關注,本研究以台灣偏遠地區國民小學階段四年級學生為對象,以國際PIRLS閱讀測驗題目和問卷為藍本,探討偏鄉兒童面對教育資源及文化刺激缺少,相對於閱讀課外讀物習慣的養成、閱讀環境的形塑和閱讀學習的成就之間的相關性。獲得以下結論:一、四所學校之學生閱讀學習資源以來自學校為主,學生閱讀以學校提供及教師指導為大部分,漫畫、雜誌和報紙的閱讀率低,學生放學後在家看電視或玩電腦的時間集中在一到三小時居多。二、學生從學校圖書館或其他圖書館借閱書籍的次數少,學生缺乏主動閱讀之風氣,閱讀書籍來源應以學校規定居多數。三、研究對象中男生家裡藏書比女生少,而家裡有電腦的男生多於女生,由此可知,男學生在家裡擁有「電腦」和女學生在家擁有「書籍」情況明顯不同。由四所學校測驗出來之成績得知,D校所獲得總平均成績最高,但是以說明體的文章閱讀所得分數而言,A、B、C三校中B校成績最好,以故事體的文章閱讀所得分數而言,A、B、C三校中C校成績最好A校平均成績次之。但是整體而言,學生閱讀學習仍以故事體所獲得成績最好,說明文閱讀成績應予以加強。
