摘要

呂赫若〈牛車〉為日治時代的社會寫實小說，勾勒出在日本統治下臺灣政治、經濟、文化的殖民悲劇。探討了在社會變遷的時代巨輪下，小人物生活的困境。寫作觸角由家庭擴大到社會，進而延伸至國家民族。本文從「政治」、「經濟制度」、「社會變遷」、「精神價值」面向探討文本中所反映的社會現實與文化現象，還原時代面貌。

”Cattle Cart” of Lu Ho-Rou is a society reality novel during the Japanese-occupied period, which described the tragedy of Taiwan politics, economy, and culture under Japanese-governance, and discussed the people's life predicament under the age of social change. The writing direction is expanded from family to society, and then extended to the nation. The culture phenomenon and social reality reflected in the thesis is discussed from the direction of ”politics”, ”economic system”, ”society variance” and ”value of consciousness” to return to the appearance of age at that time.
