摘要

《台灣外記》以小說文體演繹明末清初鄭成功父子五代在台灣抗清復明經過，以及當時與他們相關的歷史事件。筆者有見於作者江日昇才華，又感於其伸張忠義之用心，於是決定以《台灣外記》一書為研究對象，用江氏史筆表現作主軸，探討他如何運用自己的史筆技巧，來達到表彰遺臣民族氣節、為故明嘆氣之目的。論述大綱依序如下：一、成就江氏史筆技巧之因素，二、江氏書寫《台灣外記》之動機與文體選擇，三、遺臣民族氣節之表現情形與江氏之敘事模式，四、江氏對遺臣民族氣節之表彰方式，五、結語。筆者期望藉由對此書之探討，使人們更了解台灣在開發過程中所曾經發生過，與中國臍帶相連卻又充滿矛盾對立的那一頁史事，以及作者江日昇之史筆表現。

Taiwan Anecdotes is a novel describing the confrontation between five generations of Zheng's family and the Qing Dynasty. Moreover, it also tells of related historical events which occurred around the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty. In view of Jiang's talent and his courage in upholding justice, the researcher chose ”Taiwan Anecdotes” as a study subject, with the aim of understanding how Jiang skillfully used his commentary style to describe the integrity of the adherents, and how he mourned for the Ming Dynasty. The outline includes: (1) factors contributing to his commentary style; (2) his motivation and choice of text category; (3) representation of the national integrity of Ming adherents Jiang's narrative pattern; (4) Jiang's commendation of the adherents and (5) the conclusion. In analyzing the novel, the researcher explains relevant events that occurred in Taiwan, and gives examples of the conflicting yet unbreakable link it has with China. The idiosyncrasy of Jiang's commentary style is also examined.
