This Study aims to segment Taiwan bicycle path. Four types of bicycle paths were categorized. 'A' type of bicycle paths was high sport- and recreation-driven. 'B' type of bicycle paths were low sport- and high recreation-driven. 'C' type of bicycle paths was low sport- and recreation-driven. 'D' type of bicycle paths was high sport- and low recreation-driven. Purposive sampling method was utilized for collecting data from north, middle, south and east of Taiwan. Result revealed that the design of Taiwan bicycle paths was insufficient. Most of Taiwan bicycle paths were segmented in type 'A'. This study suggested that Taiwan bicycle paths should be designed for various riding needs.
