高服務品質馬拉松賽會發展契機

Key Development Opportunities of High Service Quality Marathon

摘要


目的:探討高服務品質馬拉松賽會發展契機。在全球與臺灣的馬拉松賽會均蓬勃發展當下,暸解國內外馬拉松的重要歷史、國際賽會認證標準與國內外成功的馬拉松賽會案例,有助於主辦單位籌劃高服務品質的馬拉松賽會。方法:本研究透過質性文獻回顧,進行比較分析法,挑選六場指標性的馬拉松賽會:萬金石馬拉松、曾文水庫馬拉松、臺北馬拉松、臺北國道馬拉松、太魯閣馬拉松、米倉田中馬拉松,並分析與WMM世界六大馬拉松在歷史、獨特性、規模、報名費、認證的差異,歸納未來馬拉松賽會服務品質發展的契機。結果:一、WMM六大馬拉松皆屬於WA菁英白金標認證;國內僅有萬金石馬拉松、台北馬拉松獲得WA菁英標認證。二、WMM六大馬拉松及國內六場馬拉松具備不同特色。三、紐約馬拉松參賽人數約5.3萬人規模為最大;臺北馬拉松組參賽人數8千人,半程馬拉松組2萬人,為臺灣規模最大的馬拉松,兩場賽會只服務一至二個組別。結論:一、WA/AIMS認證:爭取WA標籤與AIMS認證可提升賽會服務品質。二、賽會獨特性:結合地方特色並創新馬拉松賽會獨特性以吸引更多國內外跑者。三、精緻化賽會:在賽道承載量之環境限制下定位賽會服務對象,專注服務特定組別的比賽。建議:一、主辦單位爭取地方政府合作機會,將如虎添翼般更加有機會達成高服務品質馬拉松賽會的願景。二、針對參與賽會相關者(參賽跑者、家屬、志工、當地居民)進行賽會服務品質問卷調查,做為持續改進的基礎。

Purpose: Investigate the opportunities for the development of high-quality marathon events. Understanding marathon's history, international certification standard and the successful cases of marathon events could help domestic organizers to plan successful marathon events. Method: Through qualitative literature review, this research conducted a comparative analysis among six indicative Taiwanese Marathon events, including Wan Jin Shi Marathon, Zeng Wen Reservoir Marathon, Taipei Marathon, Taipei Freeway Marathon, Taroko Gorge Marathon, and the Rice Heaven-Tianzhong Marathon, and 6 events of World Marathon Majors (WMM), then summarized the key opportunities of service quality improvement of Taiwanese Marathon from the differences of highlights, scales, and certifications. Results: (1) The 6 WMM marathons all belong to the WA Elite Platinum Label; only the Wanjinshi Marathon and Taipei Marathon have obtained WA Elite Label in Taiwan. (2) all the 6 WMM marathons and the 6 indicative domestic marathons had developed different characteristics for attracting runners. (3) the New York Marathon, the world-wide largest scale (53,000 marathon runners) and the Taipei Marathon, the Taiwan largest scale (8,000 marathon runners and 20,000 half marathon runners) only serve one or two competition groups. Conclusions: (1) embracing international certification for improving service quality, such as WA Label Race and AMIS Track certification. (2) integrating local culture or features to acquire more global and domestic runners, (3) under the resource constraints, organizers should well position the targeted runners and simplify the competition groups for improving the service quality. Suggestions: (1) to achieve a high-quality marathon, organizers strive for the cooperation with local government is important (2) for continuous improving the quality, conduct a survey on service quality for those who involved in the event.
